I am a degreed Mechanical Engineer, but most of my professional career was as a management consultant. When I “retired”, I needed to keep myself busy. I started with live-edge furniture, which I still do. So how did I end up doing metal art? To be honest, I’m not really sure! It just happened … as, I suppose, the artistic process is prone to do. But my engineering background and knowledge of materials and chemical reactions can’t be discounted. Being a “Type-A personality” and never one to be complacent, I just kept experimenting and trying new processes, chemicals, solutions. And so my metal art collection evolved, and is continuing to evolve.
